Parents

Welcome Central Michigan ZTA Parents!

We are so excited you took the time to visit our site! Gamma Omicron Zetas work hard to honor and include parents in our college life. We have an annual Parents' Day which is when we get to show and tell you about all the amazing things we've been doing as an organization.

ZTA was founded on October 15, 1898, at the Virginia State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, VA. We now have 191,000 initiated members, 146 active collegiate chapters and 260 alumnae chapters across the country.

So why have 191,000 women chosen to become members of Zeta Tau Alpha? Each one probably has a different answer. But we believe the primary reasons are:

       • a lifetime of friendship,

       • opportunities to serve others,

       • leadership growth, and

       • a commitment to a high academic and personal standards.

A  ZTA collegiate member experiences friendship from the very start. In her first six weeks as a new member, a Zeta will learn about the Fraternity through Zeta Is Forever, the first-year link in Member Enrichment Program, and be matched with a Big Sister to help her feel at home. Other LINKS to follow are Second-year/Leadership, Third-year/Wellness, Fourth-year/Transition, and Fifth Link/Alumnae World.

Our Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation is the philanthropic and fundraising arm of the Fraternity. The ZTAF leads our efforts in breast cancer education and awareness provides $275,000 in scholarships annually and sponsors educational and leadership opportunities for our members and others. The Foundation also funds the GreekLifeEdu for College program for all of our new members.

Our ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation is the largest in the Panhellenic world and provides safe, secure and competitive housing for all our collegiate members.

We are so very proud of all of our collegiate and alumnae chapters, our programs and our service.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about Zeta Tau Alpha.
